AHRQ Pediatric Quality Indicators for California Hospitals
The Pediatric Quality Indicators (PDIs), developed by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), identify potential quality and patient safety issues specific to the pediatric inpatient population. HCAI will report hospital-level results on five PDIs - Accidental Puncture or Laceration, Neonatal Blood Stream Infection, Postoperative Respiratory Failure, Postoperative Sepsis, and Central Venous Catheter-Related Blood Stream Infection. The results were generated with the AHRQ software version 2023. This dataset does not include complications acquired in outpatient settings.
