CalHeatScore Live Data for API Use
CalHeatScore is a heat-health ranking system that translates 7-day weather forecasts into easy-to-understand heat scores ranging from 0-4 to indicate increasing levels of health risks due to extreme heat at the zip code level. This layer contains the 7-day forecast of heat scores, updated daily approximately at 5 and 8am Pacific Time. The CA GeoPortal site provides downloadable files of the data, which are updated daily at 8am. Click on this link to go directly to the CalHeatScore mapping tool. Data Definitions for the layer:· ZIP_CODE = Zip code identifier· Date = Date associated with CHS Day 0· CHS Day 0 = The CalHeatScore on the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 1 = The CalHeatScore one day after the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 2 = The CalHeatScore two days after the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 3 = The CalHeatScore three days after the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 4 = The CalHeatScore four days after the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 5 = The CalHeatScore five days after the day associated with the Date field· CHS Day 6 = The CalHeatScore six days after the day associated with the Date field· Shape_Area = Area of zip code shape· Shape_Length = Length of zip code shapeFor more information, see the CalHeatScore mapping tool or contact CalHeatScore@oehha.ca.gov.
