Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay-Delta Continuous (15 minute) Water Quality Monitoring: Rock Slough, collected by the North Central Region Office, Department of Water Resources, 2001 – 2025

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) Water Quality Evaluation Section (WQES) provides technical expertise and program support for regulatory compliance, water operations, emergency response, and environmental restoration. The dataset details information at 15-minute intervals from 4 monitoring stations, using Xylem’s Yellow Spring's Instrument's (YSI) EXO2 and 6600 multiparameter sondes to document individual water quality measurements of multiple parameters. The data set consists of water quality data collected for the Rock Slough Water Quality Monitoring Program in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Bay-Delta in and around Rock Slough between 2001 and 2025. The stations included in this data package are: Rock Slough at Contra Costa Canal Fish Screen (RSCC), Rock Slough at Delta Road Bridge (DRB), Werner Dredger Cut near Palm Tract (WDC) and Holland Cut at Holland Marina (HCHM). Parameters measured include water temperature and specific conductance at 25 C. This dataset supports water quality monitoring required by Water Rights Decision D-1641, in which State Water Project (SWP) and Central Valley Project (CVP) are responsible for maintaining the water quality objectives for municipal and industrial beneficial uses within Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
